Martin read PPE at Oxford as a mature student after building a successful career as an entrepreneur, company director and public affairs senior executive. Among other things, he was chairman and managing director of a transport company, vice chairman and non-executive director of a large chain of retail stores, and a member of the World Council of the International Chamber of Commerce. His academic interests include the relationship between political and moral philosophies. Martin teaches Theory of Politics. |

Ignacio Silva

Ignacio took his undergraduate degree in Buenos Aires, specialising in the philosophy of St Thomas Aquinas, before moving to Oxford for both his master's degree and doctoral studies. He completed his DPhil in Science and Religion in 2010, and is the author of a book entitled "De unitate intellectus contra Averroistas" on a debate in mediaeval philosophy.
